Chop Nam Heng is an established brand in pork-based products. Our range of products include roast pork, fresh and frozen pork meat, and processed products, produced in the safe and sanitary conditions, with the aim to share our cultural delicacies with the world.
Our Story
With a history dating all the way back to the 1960s, Chop Nam Heng is almost as old as this country. Our humble roots began on the streets of Tampoi in Johor Bahru. Our earliest founder, Choi Choy, peddled roast pork from a traditional three-wheeled cart, a common icon of 1960s Tampoi amidst the district’s developing industrial landscape. He had turned from tailoring to selling pork as the times were changing. The earliest version of our roast pork is an ode to the working class of Malaysia post-independence – simple and satiating, itself prepared by a working-class man whose philosophy was hard and honest work.
The family business was handed down to the next generation, helmed by Choi Choy’s son, Choi Yuk Kong, who started out as an apprentice preparing roast pork and fresh meat. After the succession, the business was rebranded as Chop Nam Heng in the 1970s, and in the 1980s, Chop Nam Heng moved to a stall in the Tampoi market to better cater to growing customers. From there, we ventured into variations of their products such as roast pork, BBQ pork, and roasts for special occasions.
From decades of understanding and experience in meat preparation, we ventured into the livestock-raising business with our own pig farm. This allowed us to ensure the strictest hygiene and quality standards directly at source. Soon, Chop Nam Heng began exporting raw pork to the overseas Singapore market. Over the years, we developed our own capabilities in logistics and delivery, point of sales, distribution, and exports.
In 2000, the third generation, Choi Chin Yen, embarked on a journey to combine tradition and modernity with the introduction of cold storage and meat processing techniques as well as e-commerce. This ushered in a new era of transformation with digital presence and branded packaging in a vertically-integrated production line.
Since 2010, we operate a processing factory and expanded our range of products to include Chop Nam Heng’s brand of dry packaged products, leveraging on our expertise in fresh and frozen meat production. We cure, cut, process and freeze all our meats at the right time and temperature, preserving a moment of freshness to be enjoyed at your pleasure.
Today, Chop Nam Heng’s unmistakable brand is situated at several branch locations in Johor Jaya, Taman Molek, and Taman Tun Aminah. The Johor Jaya wet market parent branch has been around for 30 years and counting. Following the digital era, our products are also available online for the convenience of our customers.

With a new and modern approach to this line of business, Chop Nam Heng hopes to change negative perceptions and demonstrate that the meat business can be hygienic, safe, fast, and convenient.

Quality Meats
We closely monitor every step of the production process, from sourcing to processing and packaging. We work closely with our farms to ensure the safety and hygiene standards of our products in compliance with slaughterhouse and veterinary requirements.
Our MBJB-licensed factory is equipped with modern cutting machines, cold storage room, packaging machine, roast oven, enabling everything to be completed on-site at our quality-controlled premises. Our meat is always stored and handled at low temperatures to guarantee freshness.
We take pride in offering a variety of delicious pork-based snacks, fresh and frozen pork, and roast pork – customers can enjoy Chop Nam Heng products with peace of mind.
Convenient
Chop Nam Heng is available at physical locations and online through our website. Our online delivery option brings convenience to your doorstep. Online orders are delivered fresh within 7 days or earlier, depending on your location. Deliveries are made from Tuesday to Sunday (Mondays are rest days). We use our own delivery fleet so you don’t have to worry about your order going missing, and if there is a delay, we are able to quickly track your order.

Social Responsibility
Every year, as a part of the Johor community, Chop Nam Heng goes out in full support of community youth events organised by the YMM Johor, a non-profit NGO dedicated to educating youths and serving the community. In the past, we have also delivered an order for 108 whole roast pigs to the Ang Siang Keng temple to complete the festive proceedings. We take pride in being able to give back to the wider community in our own way. Just as our customers have helped us grow from strength to strength, so too do we want to return the favour.
